LIBRARY FACILITIES
Our library offers a range of well-designed physical facilities to support learning, teaching, and research in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Users can make use of discussion rooms for group work, a seminar room for academic activities, quiet reading areas for focused study, reliable Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the library, and convenient printing stations for academic and administrative needs. Together, these facilities are designed to enhance your library experience and support productive, flexible use of the space.

Lounge Area
Our library’s lounge area is a welcoming space designed to make learning more comfortable and enjoyable. Blending a relaxed atmosphere with a modern academic setting, the lounge provides a perfect spot for reading, informal discussions, or taking a short break between study sessions. With comfortable seating and a calm environment, it encourages students to unwind, recharge, and stay engaged, making the library not just a place to study, but a place to feel at ease while learning.

Reading Area
Step into our reading area, a calm and welcoming space designed for focus, comfort, and inspiration. Whether you’re diving into a novel, researching for study, or simply enjoying a quiet moment with a newspaper, this thoughtfully arranged area offers comfortable seating, ample lighting, and a peaceful atmosphere that encourages uninterrupted reading. It’s a place where ideas flow freely, concentration comes naturally, and every reader—of every age—can truly enjoy the joy of reading. The space can accommodate up to 200 users at one time.

Discussion Rooms
Our discussion rooms offer a flexible and welcoming environment for collaboration, conversation, and idea-sharing. Designed to support group study, meetings, workshops, and academic discussions, these rooms provide a balance between privacy and comfort without disturbing the quiet areas of the library. Whether you’re brainstorming with classmates, hosting a small session, or working together on a project, the discussion rooms are a space where voices, ideas, and teamwork come together productively. Library user needs to register at the counter before using discussion room. Please ask library staff if you need smart TV or projector when using discussion room.

Computer Station
Our computer station provides easy and reliable access to technology in a comfortable, user-friendly setting. Equipped with up-to-date computers and internet connectivity, this space supports research, learning, articles searching, and everyday digital needs. Whether you’re working on an assignment, exploring online resources, or building new skills, the computer station is designed to help you stay connected, productive, and confident in the digital world. Please ask library staff if you need assistance using the computer.

Self Service Printing Station
Library provides Self-Service Printing Station that makes printing quick, convenient, and hassle-free. Designed for independent use, it allows users to print, scan, and copy documents with ease, whether for study, work, or personal needs. With clear instructions and efficient equipment, the station saves time and empowers library users to manage their documents confidently and efficiently—right when they need them. Library user need to register ePRINTit account to use this service. Cost for printing and copying are RM 0.10 per sheet (for black and white), and RM1.00 for color.

Seminar Room
Our seminar room provides a comfortable and well-equipped space for academic discussions, workshops, presentations, and collaborative learning. Designed to support teaching and research activities, the room is suitable for small seminars, group meetings, and training sessions, with facilities that encourage interaction and focused engagement. Faculty members, researchers, and students are welcome to use the seminar room to share ideas, develop projects, and enrich the academic experience—please check availability and booking details through the library staff for convenient access. The room can accommodate up to 20 person.

Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC)

The OPAC lets you quickly search for books, e-books, theses, multimedia, and other resources held by the library, all from one easy-to-use interface. Stay connected while you study with our library’s free Wi-Fi access, available throughout the library for all registered users. Whether you’re researching online resources, accessing e-journals and databases, attending virtual classes, or collaborating on group work, our reliable internet connection supports your academic needs. Simply connect your device and enjoy seamless access to digital content, making the library a productive and connected space for learning and research.
LIBRARY SERVICES
Our library provides a comprehensive range of services designed to support learning, teaching, and research across the university. Core services include circulation for borrowing and returning materials, library orientation to help new users navigate resources and spaces, and information literacy programs that build essential research and evaluation skills. We also offer interlibrary loan services to expand access beyond our collections, along with dedicated research support to assist users in finding, managing, and using information effectively throughout their academic journey.
We use KOHA library system for borrowing, returning and renewal. To borrow, please bring your item(s) and ID to the circulation counter. Library user must send the borrowing book to the circulation when returning the book.
Please use OPAC to renew by log in to your library account.
Users can reserve book if the book currently on loan. When the item is available, we will hold the item for 5 days.
The service helps library user to obtain material not held by the library. You can borrow books, articles, and other materials allowed by the library. Please consult with library staff for more information.
Library staff will conduct library tour or presentation to familiarise you with the facilities, collection, services, rules and regulations in the library.
We provide class to help users in information literacy and research. The class will be offered based on demand from faculty or department.
Our Information Package Service is designed to support the advanced research and teaching needs of academic staff, researchers, and postgraduate students. Through this service, librarians curate high-quality, subject-specific information packages tailored to your research topic, course, or project. Each package may include scholarly articles, key books, databases, reference sources, and current research trends—saving you valuable time and ensuring access to reliable, authoritative information. Whether you are developing a course, preparing a grant proposal, or advancing your research, the Information Package Service provides focused, expert support to help you work more efficiently and effectively. Our Research Support Service offers personalized guidance for academic staff, researchers, and postgraduate students to help you navigate the research process with confidence. By booking an appointment with a reference librarian, you can receive expert assistance in areas such as literature searching, database navigation, citation, citation management software (Mendeley) , research strategies, and accessing specialized resources, and using Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) . This one-on-one support is designed to save you time, enhance the quality of your research, and ensure you make the most of the library’s extensive resources.
